I have officially ordered my graduation invitations! Here's a sneak peek:
I designed them on tinyprints.com. It was so quick and easy! All I had to do was enter the information into a question box, and they added everything for me. I uploaded the picture and, tada, I was done! They are much more attractive than the invitations my school offers! I'm expecting them in to arrive in a couple weeks. I can't wait to send then out to everyone!

How to: Bookmark
A receipt for the book, a scrap of paper, or a specially picked bookmark from Barnes and Nobles...
We all have our ways of remembering where we left off in our book.
Here is a look at how I keep my place:
1) First, I find some old magazines that I don't mind cutting up. I prefer Lucky.
2) Next, I find little pictures that are unique and interesting. Then, I simply cut them out along the edges.
3) Once I have cut out all the pictures that I want, I reach for my cardstock, which is better for bookmarks because it is more thick. I glue each image to a different piece of cardstock. If the cardstock is larger than the picture, I trim around it.
4) I use my bookmarks to keep my place in my bible. I write the verse on the back.
How do you save your place?

Caps and Gowns are in!
Here it is...
My cap and gown!
It's just another reminder that graduation is much closer than I can comprehend. I can't wait to see what the last couple months of my high school career bring. I can only imagine that they will be similar to what the past 3 years and 8 months of high school have been... amazing!!
And, because they require us to wear clothes underneath our gowns, here is my beautiful graduation dress!
The dress is a navy blue split sleeve dress from Lavender boutique. The moment I put it on, I knew I had to have it. I already have the perfect gold necklace to go with it. It's no coincidence that Georgia Southern colors are gold and navy blue!

He loved me, He loves me not
I absolutely love flowers!
So, it's not surprising that I like to keep them around as long as possible. I'm sure everyone has heard of drying flowers...
Dry Flowers upside down do that they keep their shape. |
... But I like to put a special spin on it! I found myself with many bundles of dried flowers from different occasions, but couldn't exactly remember who had given me the flowers or why they gave them to me. So, I started making labels for my flowers. Here's how I do it:
1) I tear the edges of a piece of red card stock to give it a worn look. Card stock is better to use than printer paper because it is thick and more durable.
2) I use a gold Painters pen to right a quote that explains what the flowers are from. For example, my boyfriend, Bryson, got me flowers when I was sick. So, I put "Get Well Soon". On the back, I write who they are from and when I recieved them. Bryson got me my "Get Well Soon" flowers in January 2011.
3) I cut two little holes about an 1 1/2 inches apart. I string yarn through the holes and tie a knot. Trim the string and done.
Now those beautiful flowers from the special someone will last forever! And I'll always know why they're special!

GASC 2011
While my blog is suppose to be about my journey into and at college, I don't see why I can't record the wonderful memories that I'm having at the end of great Senior year.
At seven in the morning this past Friday, myself and 10 other delegates boarded that big yellow bus on the two hour ride to FFA-FCCLA Camp in Covington, Ga. Did I just say FFA? As in Future Farmer's of America? Yeah... I did. Don't worry. I'm not about to drop my Early Edu. major for farming. We went down for the annual Georgia Association of Student Council, or GASC, convention. I can NOT believe it was my last. And thanks to the hard working North Gwinnett Student Council, it was the best convention yet. The wonderful combination of delegates from North Forsyth alone made it unlike any other.
Here are some of the highlights:
One thing I know will stay in my memories and in my heart forever is getting chosen as GASC Member of the Year 2011. Yes, it was a great honor. But more importantly, it represents a bond that transformed from nonexistent to unforgettable. Savannah Sanders, my Co-vice president, and Cara Came, the president, took it upon themselves to nominate me for Member of the Year, which included filling out a sheet of my accomplishments and doing an interview. Needless to say, I cried... hard!!
And on a less personal note, my school was elected Secretary school for the 2011-2012 school year! How did we win? It definitely required some skill...

Senioritis
According to Wikipedia (not a very reliable source), Senioritis is a real illness. Symptoms include procrastination, lack of motivation, drop in academic performance, a desire to drop out of school, and "coasting." *Cough, cough. I think I'm getting sick. I keep finding it harder and harder to wake up and get ready for school in the mornings. I've gone from hitting the snooze for 10 minutes to hitting it for an hour!! With everything going on, I need to stop by a Minute Clinic right away. There is no way I have time to catch this "common cold."
Does anyone know of a cure?

Will I be any good at this?
I'm new to the blogging world. While I've followed my teacher and friend, Heather Transue, at {twenty}something, I never thought I would be a blogger myself. Hopefully I'll catch on to it as fast as she did. Now I can't promise that my posts will be consistant or my writing will always have correct grammer, but I do promise that, when I post, I won't miss a detail!
